Hi! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Cambria and I am an illustrator and cartoonist with a background in graphic design, publishing and production. I live in sunny Austin, TX with my husband, son, and giant fluffball Bijou.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but fell in love with illustration specifically right after college. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and realized that most of my design work always included hand-drawn elements. I picked up a few books on illustration, and a copy of The Making of Fantastic Mr. Fox, and became enamored with all styles of illustration and how expressive it can be. I've been doing freelance illustration on and off ever since 2009. My materials and tools have changed and evolved over time, and I'm always looking for new challenges and techniques, whether digital or traditional.

When I was 24, I stumbled upon a graphic novel (Lucy Knisley's French Milk) in a bookstore, and discovered that comics could be used as a form of storytelling, and didn't always have to be about superheroes. Not long after, I started drawing little scenes from my own life and posting them online.

A few years ago, a friend's beloved pup passed away and I wanted to do something special, so I drew a small colored pencil portrait for them. Their reaction to my little drawing moved me in a way that made me realize I wanted to do this more. They commissioned me to do a few portraits for their friends, and friends of friends, and so on, until I finally decided to start a small business in 2023.
